‘For Movement’s Sake’

POTSDAM: 2018 Student Choreographers Concert, titled "For Movement's Sake," presented by SUNY Potsdam Department of Theatre and Dance, 2 p.m., Dance Theater, Performing Arts Center; showcase of 22 choreographic works by undergraduate dancers, including an array of styles, ranging from contemporary to jazz to African dance; first program of two parts, second part held Dec. 1 at 5 p.m. and Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.

Once Upon a Mattress

OGDENSBURG: Ogdensburg Free Academy Drama Club and Music Department presents Once Upon a Mattress, 7 p.m., George Hall Auditorium; $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and students.

‘Bocn!’ Play

CANTON: St. Lawrence University students enrolled in the Do-It-Yourself Theatre course presenting production of Lisa Loomers play “Bocn!;” 8 p.m., SLU Edison R. Miles Black Box Theater; focuses on the story of Miguel, a charming and curious 12 year-old with a big mouth or bocn, who is forced to flee his village and leave his family behind; production is entirely student driven; humor, music and some mystical elements geared toward young audiences; DIY students have designed magical costumes, masks and some scenic surprises; reserve tickets at: www.stlaw.edu/pca, 315-229-5748; tickets also available day of show at Gulick Theatre Box Office.
