POTSDAM: Chemtoberfest! presented by the SUNY Potsdam Chemistry Department, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., SUNY Potsdam’s McNall Science Center; Oktoberfest-themed science festival with demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages; open to the campus and community; proettjc@potsdam.edu.
Monster Mash
PARISHVILLE: Parishville Area Recreation Club (PARC) hosting “Haunted Trail & Monster Mash,” Parishville Beach, 5:30-9 p.m.; open to public, suitable for all ages; $10 per car at the gate; portion of the proceeds donated to the PHCS junior & senior classes; Monster Mash dance with disco lights, a non-haunted hayride around the fields, bobbing for apples, carved pumpkin competition, face painting, costume parade, “Lil’ Grave Digger” area, Haunted Trail; enter pumpkin contest for $1; cash prizes awarded based on number of entries; concessions including hot dogs, chips, drinks, S’more kits; small supervised campfire will be available for S’more making.
