Founder’s Weekend

OGDENSBURG: Founder’s Weekend, July 20-22; kicks off July 20, with ghost stories and colonial tales around the campfire at Van Rensselaer Point, 9 p.m.; free, open to the public; rain location: Sherman Inn, 615 Franklin St.

Family Fun Day

CANTON: Family Fun Day, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Canton Village Park farmers market, hosted by GardenShare; sack races, radish-toss, mystery market, face-painting, local live music, local food, raffle; www.gardenshare.

Scottish Festival events

HAMMOND: Scottish Stone House Bus Tours; first tour begins at 9 a.m. and the second tour begins at 1 p.m. at the Hammond Historical Museum; approximately 20 houses will be seen with two inside tours; registration recommended; cost is $10 per person; Presbyterian Church will provide lunch (for a small fee) from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church pavilion; contact Donna Demick at 315-528-4742; Shortbread Contest at the museum, 10 a.m.-noon; for rules, call Joan Hadlock at 315-324-5517; winners announced at the Scottish Festival on Sat., July 21; part of Hammond 2018 Scottish Festival July 14-22.
