CANTON – A voting rights forum will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Canton Tuesday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m.
The forum will address the question “Democracy at Risk?”
The forum speakers will explore current issues surrounding voting rights both in the U.S. and around the world.
The discussion will cover efforts to restrict and complicate voting around the U.S., including some voter ID laws, and the ongoing gerrymandering of congressional districts.
This non-partisan voting rights forum is sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton, the League of Women Voters of St. Lawrence County, the American Association of University Women, and the St. Lawrence University chapter of the Vote Everywhere project of the Andrew Goodman Foundation.
The Unitarian Universalist Church is located at 3½ E. Main St.
