POTSDAM -- Violinist Linda Nagy Johnston will perform an alumni recital at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 in Snell Music Theatre.

The evening's program includes Ludwig van Beethoven's "Sonata #5 in F-Major," "Spring" for violin and piano, Dvorak's "Romance in F-Minor Op. 11," Stravinsky's "Suite Italienne" and Camille Saint Saens' "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso."

The recital will also feature a world premiere of Paul Siskind's "Souvenirs Éphémères" (Fleeting Memories) for solo violin.

Johnston is a 1988 graduate of The Crane School of Music, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree, summa cum laude, in violin performance.
