POTSDAM -- A Veterans Appreciation Day will be held Jan. 5 at Clarkson University’s Student Center from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
The highlight of the event will be a special recognition of Korean War veterans in honor of the upcoming 50th anniversary of the end of the war. However, all veterans will be honored at the opening ceremony for the day.
Veterans who attend will be informed about benefits they may be entitled to, including in the healthcare, education and legal fields.
Veterans are encouraged to pre-register at www.northcountryveterans.com. Those that do register will receive a free ticket for themselves and a guest to either a Clarkson or St. Lawrence University Men’s hockey game the evening of Jan. 5.
