MASSENA -- The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 01-01 will offer the "About Boating Safely" course on April 30 and May 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. both nights at the Hawkins Point Visitors Center.
Cost is $35 for both nights, each of which must be attended to receive safety certification.
Family rates are available.
New state regulations in effect this year require all those born after May 1, 1996 to have boating safety certification to drive a boat.
