OGDENSBURG -- St. John’s Conservatory Theater (SJCT) will open their musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic Oliver Twist. Simply titled “Twist,” this new “twist” on the age-old classic features Christopher Rodriguez as the Artful Dodger and Caroline Silver as Olivia Twist.
“Twist” opens the weekend of July 13 at the OFA George Hall Auditorium in Ogdensburg for a two-week run.
Twelve-year old Chris Rodriguez will portray the Artful Dodger. Rodriguez is currently in the 6th grade at JFK school and has performed in nine SJCT productions.
Caroline Silver, a 14-year-old 9th grader who has performed in six SJCT productions will play the title role as Olivia. Silver is a member of her middle school chorus, “All County Chorus,” and she plays the drums in band.
Twist runs July 13-22 at the OFA George Hall Auditorium in Ogdensburg, Show times are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7 p.m., with matinees on Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $15 at the door (suggested donation), or $10 at brownpapertickets.com.
