POTSDAM – Cinema 10 continues its Spring 2011 season 7:15 p.m. Monday, April 18 with a screening of Tiny Furniture, a 2010 USA autobiographical indie-comedy written, directed by and starring Lena Dunham.
The film screens at the Roxy Theatre on Main Street.
Tickets are $3. for students and senior citizens and $4.50 for general admission.
Dunham plays Aura, a recent graduate of a Midwestern liberal arts college. After moving back into her mother’s trendy Tribeca loft – her mother is played by Dunham’s own mother, New York artist and photographer, Laurie Simmons – Aura is forced to take a job at a local restaurant, where she struggles to find direction, especially in her love life.
Ann Hornaday of the Washington Post calls the film, “A funny, affecting movie about growing up in the shadow of a formidable mom.”
