WADDINGTON – The Party in the Park 5 for the 2018 Bassmaster Elite Series is expected to draw thousands of people to the community park for four days of free live music, kids rides, great food and cold beer starting Thursday, Aug. 23 at Whitaker Park.
This year’s headliner bands are Dirty Deeds, an AC/DC tribute band, and the Journey tribute band E5C4P3. Nine other bands will perform a variety of rock and pop music on the main stage.
The free family event will also feature helicopter rides from Adirondack Heli Tours, wine slushies, vendors starting at 9 a.m. every day, cold beer, food, kid’s rides and fireworks.
Attendees will be able to also see the world’s top bass fishermen and competition weigh-ins daily starting at 3 p.m.
A 2018 Polaris 450 Sportsman ATV will be raffled on Aug. 26. Tickets are $10.
The Soul Seekers Brotherhood’s St. Lawrence County Chapter will organize a ride to benefit the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund starting from the Seaway Diner and Smokehouse on Aug. 25 at 10 a.m.
A Native American Showcase will be staged by the Akwesasne First Nations on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m.
Other demonstrations are expected from Veils of the Nile and other groups.
In addition, various organizations like Wounded Warrior Outdoor Adventures will have informational booths set up throughout the four-day party.

• Thursday, Aug. 23 – 9 a.m. DJ Barr None Entertainment, 5 p.m. Hip Shot, 7:15 p.m. Divided Roads;
• Friday, Aug. 24 – 9 a.m. DJ Barr None Entertainment, 5 p.m. Steelin Country, 6:45 p.m. Cross Country, 8:30 p.m. Fully Completely Hip;
• Saturday, Aug. 25 – 9 a.m. DJ Barr None Entertainment, 11 a.m. Bike Run and Bike Show, 11 a.m. Star Dust Show, 5:15 p.m. E5C4P3, Escape the Journey Tribute; 7:45 p.m. Dirty Deeds Xtreme AC/DC, 10 p.m. Adirondack Energy’s River Side Fireworks;
• Sunday, Aug. 26 – 9 a.m. DJ Barr None Entertainment, 10 a.m. First Nations Showcase, 11:30 a.m. Rez Pony, 1:30 p.m. Ten Cent Green, 5:15 p.m. Six Foot Midget.
