HANNAWA FALLS – Tas Cru, who performed throughout the eastern U.S. last year, will perform during a day full of music, food and raffles April 9 to benefit the Jesse McCarthy Music Scholarship Fund.

The event will take place from noon to 10 p.m. at the Hannawa Falls Firemen’s Field. Tas Cru performs a variety of formats ranging from solo acoustic to an eight-piece backing band that includes the singing trio Stacked Deck. He appeared at the Billtown Blues Festival, Kalamazoo Blues Festival and Chattauqua Hills Blues Festival in 2010.

McCarthy was 23 years old when he was killed in a car accident in 2009. His love for music prompted his family and friends to create the scholarship fund, which benefits area youth.

Donation at the event will be $3 per person or $5 per couple.

For more information call 262-2698 or 267-0347. For a scholarship application, email punderdoodle@yahoo.com.
