MASSENA -- Swift Optical is hosting a grand opening celebration of its first retail eyewear store at 351 East Orvis St. on Saturday, June 16, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
The opening marks the culmination of more than two years of work updating the old Lincoln Mercury building, said a company press release.
“It is so wonderful to finally be open and providing eyewear to residents of upstate New York,” said Joseph Ianni, president and founder of Swift Optical, in a prepared statement.
The grand opening celebration will have a number of free activities, including a bouncy castle, obstacle course, face painting and a clown for the kids. There will be free hot dogs and drinks.
There will be live music throughout the day featuring Lacey Rae, a live radio broadcast with B99.3 and local dignitaries will attend the traditional ribbon cutting at noon.
There is a spinning wheel where attendees can win a variety of prizes and a selfie picture station to take an enhanced selfie and post to social media.
