CANTON -- SUNY Canton will hold its annual fall Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18.

The event will host more than 45 local, regional and national employers in two locations.

Companies seeking applicants with technology-based skills will be located in Nevaldine Hall.

All other recruiters, including those seeking to fill positions in the health, business and criminal justice fields, will be stationed in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center, Rooms 212 and 214.

The Career Fair is free and open to the public.

"This is the perfect opportunity for our students, alumni and community members to talk to multiple employers in one day," said SUNY Canton Director of Career Services Julie A. Parkman.

"Not only does the fair often serve as a 'first interview' for full-time positions, but it also presents opportunities for part-time jobs and internships."

Parkman encourages attendees to bring their resumes and dress for success.

Job hunters will be able to network with a number of employers, including Alcoa Inc., Car-Freshner Corp., the New York State Police and Department of Corrections, Great Lakes Cheese, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and local-area hospitals and veterinary businesses.
