MADRID -- The Hepburn Library of Madrid, 11 Church St., will host a series of summer events as part of the Summer Reading Program from Monday, Aug. 1 through Friday, Aug. 5.
Healthy and safety with Frank Palumbo will run from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Aug.1 for ages 6 to 13.
Cubby the clown and company will entertain children 3 to 8 from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Aug. 2., followed by an evening appearance featuring local sportscaster Chris Spicer and Madrid T-ball coach Claire Murphy for ages 6-13 at 6 to 7 p.m.
Brilliant Star Program dancing and singing with Nina for ages 6 to 13 is on Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.
A full slate of activities scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 4 features healthy snacks for kids ages 3 to 13 from 10 a.m. to noon and a family night with an obstacle course, scavenger hunt, pizza and drinks beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The final even of the week will feature indoor and outdoor sports and games from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, Aug. 5.
Registration is greatly encouraged for all events and required for the family night Thursday evening. Children ages 3-6 require adult supervision for all events.
