WADDINGTON -- Steelin' Country will perform Friday, Feb. 2, from 6-8 p.m. at the Waddington Hepburn Library community room to help benefit and support the arts with the Lake St. Lawrence Gallery.
The Lisbon-based group consists of Kirk Robinson on pedal steel guitar, Michelle Robinson on vocals and guitar, Terry Robinson on guitar, Josh Barkley on bass and keyboards, and Alex Hammond on percussion and vocals. The band will be joined by special guest Don Boyajian on pedal steel and electric guitar as part of his “Bluegrass and Politics Series”.
The band plays "real country" music from the past, along with several original compositions. Copies of their new album, “Songs Mama Loved,” a classic-country album featuring original and cover songs, will be available.
The performance is free to attend; donations are welcome. Food and refreshments will be available. Parking is free, with handicap spaces, and restrooms will be open.
