OGDENSBURG -- The St. Lawrence Valley Sportsman Club, River Valley Gun Dog Club and Black Lake Fish & Game Club are hosting a youth pheasant hunt at the SLVSC property, 25 Sportsman Club Road (near State Route 37), Ogdensburg on Saturday, Sept. 24.
The event is designed for junior hunters ages 12 to 15 and includes safety instruction, a pheasant hunt with trained dogs, and free lunch.
Registration is limited to 40 hunters and youths may register for the 8 a.m. or noon sessions.
Youths 12 to 13 must be accompanied by a parent, while youths 14 to 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult age 21 or older.
A current hunting license for the 2015-16 year is required for all participants.
