CANTON - Family Weekend will be celebrated Oct. 1 through 3 at St. Lawrence University, with a variety of academic, social and entertainment events planned for students and their families.
Among the weekend's highlights are dedications of renovated athletics facilities; tours and open houses in campus facilities and a variety of programs; a reception hosted by President William Fox and his wife, Lynn, at their home, MacAllaster House; NS an alumni career panel.
Also planned are ceremonies to induct new members into Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honorary society and Phi Beta Kappa academic honor society; a reception for honor students and their families, with presentations by student researchers; a concert by the Laurentian Singers; faculty and staff presentations and workshops; information sessions on the First-Year Program, international studies and residence life; a 5K run/walk to benefit Komen for the Cure; and a question-and-answer session with President Fox and senior staff.
