St. Lawrence NYSARC Fund Raiser drawing with grand prize of $10,000 scheduled for Nov. 9 in Canton

CANTON -- The 32nd annual $10,000 St. Lawrence NYSARC Fund Raiser drawing is set for Friday, Nov. 9 at the Best Western.

The raffle features over 30 prizes, including a grand prize of $10,000.

Fund raiser tickets are on sale now and cost $10 each or three for $25 and will be sold in a limited subscription of 6,000.

The doors to the drawing will open at 6:30 p.m. and the certificate drawing will begin at 7 p.m.

The event is hosted by WWNY-TV’s Jeff Cole, the anchor of “7News This Morning” and “7News at Noon.”

The event is free and open to the public.

Sponsors for the event include: Rose & Kiernan, Inc., Tracy’s Used Cars, and Benjamin Murphy & Associates.

This year’s prize value totals more than $20,000. Other top donated prizes include a one-week getaway to Lake Ozonia from Dave and Denice Button, a 5k London Blue Topaz necklace from Carbino’s Jewelers, a laptop computer from Advanced Business Systems, electric lift chair from Harris Medical, a Hand Sewn Quilt from Gouverneur Roofing & Sheet Metal, a $500 gift certificate from Gillee’s Auto Truck & Marine, and a Stay and Play Golf Package from The Best Western University Inn, Canton.

A complete list of prizes noting various community partners throughout St. Lawrence County is available on the NYSARC’sgency’s website, www.slnysarc.org. Tickets may also be purchased online.

Money raised is used to help support NYSARC’s work on behalf of children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. The funds raised are vital to pay for services not fully financed through other sources.

Programs benefited by the fundraiser provide opportunities for people to participate in a range of activities including travel, educational, cultural, summer camp, as well as services for people on the autism spectrum.
