The St. Lawrence Health Initiative will be holding “I Can Feel Better Free” six week workshops in Potsdam, Waddington and Massena.
The workshops, designed for those with chronic health conditions, will teach participants how to deal with frustration, pain and fatigue.
Patients will learn exercise techniques, communications skills and nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
The workshops will particularly focus on diseases like diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, chronic pain or anxiety.
The Potsdam workshops will be held at Canton-Potsdam Hospital in the second floor classroom Mondays from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 7 to Feb. 11.
The Waddington workshops will be held at the Hamilton Gardens community room Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 8 to Feb. 12.
The Massena workshops will be held in Massena Memorial Hospital’s conference room Thursdays from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Jan. 10 to Feb. 14.
