The St. Lawrence County Public Health Department is holding vaccination clinics for tetanus-diphtheria and pertussis ("Tdap") in Massena, Potsdam and Canton in the coming weeks. They say pertussis is especially serious to infants less than six months old and all who come into close contact with infants and newborns should be Tdap vaccinated. For the uninsured or underinsured, call ahead for an appointment at 386-2325, the vaccine will cost $10.
The clinics are:
• Wednesday, March 12 at the Massena Community Center, Beach Street from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 19 at the Town of Potsdam Community Room, 18 Elm Street from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 26 at the Human Services Building, 80 State Route 310, Canton from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
