CANTON -- St. Lawrence County will accept applications from property owners to add land to Agricultural Districts 1 and 2 from March 1-30.
The county’s agricultural districts help protect farmland and farming in the county.
Agricultural district 1 primarily consists of agricultural lands in the western and southern portions of the county, and agricultural district 2 spans across the county’s northern and eastern regions.
Digital maps showing land in the ag districts are available online at http://new.dancgis.org/ima.
Applications to add land to Ag District 1 or 2 can be accessed at www.agdistricts.stlawco.org, obtained at local municipal offices, calling the county planning office at 315-379-2292, or emailing dhenophy@stlawco.org.
Applications will be accepted until Friday, March 30.
