MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center will hold a Groundhog Day “Guided Snowshoe Groundhog Hunt” Feb. 2 from 1 to 2 p.m.
The hike will accommodate all ages and ability levels, as the trail is 1.6 miles long on gentle, rolling terrain.
Learn new facts about groundhogs while looking for a wild groundhog.
After the hike hot chocolate will be served and hikers will have the chance to see a groundhog up close.
Lightweight snowshoes will be available a half-hour before the walk, or you can bring your own.
