CANTON - St. Lawrence University's Amnesty International chapter will host an event for the Invisible Children campaign, a non-profit organization that builds schools and homes for the "child soldiers" in Uganda and Sudan.
On Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m., four speakers from the organization, including a former child soldier, will be present and a documentary about the issue will be screened in Gulick Theatre.
The documentary, “Tony,” follows a boy from northern Uganda, and his friendship with Invisible Children, Inc. founders over seven years.
The film also exposes the abduction of children by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda, a rebel army lead by Joseph Kony.
