CANTON – Due to a summer shower, the St. Lawrence County Historical Association's historic walking tour of the Village of Canton has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m.

There are still spaces available, so now is your chance to register for the tour.

This informative and fascinating tour will be led by Canton Town & Village Historian Linda Casserly. Casserly will talk, among other things, about the Miner House, the American House, and the Opera House; changes to Main Street over the years; and sites where notable Canton residents worked and lived.

Participants should assemble on the back porch of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association at the Silas Wright House (the main entrance by the parking lot) at 5:45 p.m.

The cost is $5 per person, ages 12 and up (under 12 free) with a maximum of 20 people on a tour.

Pre-registration is required. To register contact the SLCHA at 386-8133 or info@slcha.org.
