WADDINGTON -- The Lake Saint Lawrence Arts Gallery will host the class “Introduction to Drawing” for homeschoolers starting Thursday, Feb. 8, and running on Thursdays for six weeks until March 15.
An up-front fee of $140 is required for 8- to 18-year-old artists.
In these classes students will learn to develop their artistic skills through a series of exercises designed to teach them to “see as an artist sees.”
These exercises teach the foundation skills of drawing; which is the foundation of all artistic mediums.
Each class builds off skills taught in the previous class, so attendance to each class is important.
Included in the class fee are all supplies, snacks and an art show at the end of the 6-week session.
Event organizers say participants are encouraged to register in advance.
Classes are limited to eight artists.
Go to www.lakestlawrencearts.com website to register or call The Gallery at 315-308-4410.
