BRIER HILL -- The Black Lake Fish and Game Club will host a “Snowshoe Shuffle 5K” and 1-mile fun race at the club, 1 Gilmour Road, on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m.
The 3.1-mile trail and one-mile fun race is open to anyone. There will be chili and hot dogs sold at the end, along with free hot chocolate and a bonfire. Snowshoes are not provided.
The top male and female winners will receive local maple syrup.
Event organizers say they encourage registration prior to the event. They will still take signups the morning of from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
The registration fee is $10 per adult and $5 for students. Ages 7 and under are free the club recommends they participate with a registered adult.
Those who would like a race shirt must sign up by Jan. 11. They cost an additional $10.
