CANTON -- The Cornell Cooperative Extension Learning Farm, 2043B State Highway 68, will host workshops April 29 at 1 and 7 p.m. on sheep and goats.
The meeting will focus on sheep and goat quality assurance programs that help ensure consumer confidence in meat and dairy products through such management practices as record keeping, the farm-veterinarian working relationship, recommendations for animal handling, and more.
The youth session at 1 p.m. will discuss the digestive tracts of sheep and goats and other topics.
Admission is free.
The cost for the 7 p.m. workshop is $5 and will discuss sheep and goat quality assurance.
