CANTON -- TAUNY is offering a free introductory workshop on shape note singing Sunday, Jan. 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Herring-Cole Hall at St. Lawrence University.
Tim Hambourger will offer a history of the four-part singing tradition and participants will learn how to “sing the shapes” and perform in full harmony. Music will be provided.
Session shape note singing sessions will then be held the second Sunday of the month at the Potsdam United Methodist Church and the fourth Sunday at SLU. More
