POTSDAM – The spring Science Cafe series, where local professors talk about current science and technology issues, begins Feb. 2 at 7:15 p.m. at La Casbah, 6 Elm St., with Clarkson Prof. Gabor Forgacs speaking on “Tissue Engineering: The Key to Eternal Life?”
In the not-too-distant future, Forgacs says, people will simply walk into a specialized clinic, shed a dysfunctional kidney or liver, and walk out with a made-to-measure new one. It sounds like fiction, but Forgacs will explain the latest developments and the future.
Maybe so, but maybe not. Clarkson Professor of Biophysics explains this new exciting technology.
Several more Science Cafes are set for selected Wednesday evenings through April.
