PARISHVILLE -- Parishville Amvets Ladies Auxiliary and Sons are having an event-filled community block party and dance benefit Saturday for Marine Cpl. Aaron Howell of Parishville, who was wounded in Afghanistan and is recovering in the Washington, D.C. area.
Events begin at noon, in front of the Amvets post on Catherine Street.
There will be a playhouse for kids, games, a dunking booth, a demonstration of submission fighting, free face painting, Lady Liberty will be on display, vendors will be there, and refreshments will be available.
101.5 the Fox will be there from 1 to 4 p.m.
The band Ten Cent Green plays starting g at 6 p.m.
People who make a donation to the Howell Family will receive an Amvets White Clover.
Volunteers to help with the event will be greatly appreciated.
