OGDENSBURG -- The Salvation Army, 401 Franklin St., is inviting the community to its annual Harvest Dinner and Auction Saturday, Oct. 20.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.
Dinner proceeds will benefit new programs including:
• Loads of Love, a ministry assisting those with a simple need: clean clothes;
• MOPS, a group seeking to “build circles of moms who love each other like family;”
• Sally’s Place, a place for those needing recreation, fellowship, encouragement and support;
• Open Gym, a space for the community to gather to play basketball, volleyball, and more; and
• Celebrate Recovery & Narcotics Anonymous: recovery programs for those seeking to overcome addiction
A light meal, soup, salad, dessert and beverages, will be served.
There will be many silent auction items as well as live auction items donated by local businesses and community members.
Suggested donation at door $10; children younger than 5 are admitted free.
