POTSDAM -- For the seventh year in a row, the Clarkson University Physical Therapy Club will join the crusade to help fight cancer by staging a Relay for Life event on Friday, March 25, to benefit the American Cancer Society.
The fifty teams in Clarkson's 2011 Relay for Life have already raised over $13,000.
The relay is composed of three phases.
In the first phase, those members of the relay who have survived cancer walk around the track together. In the second phase, each member of the relay whose life has been touched by cancer lights a candle in memory of someone who has died from this disease. In the third phase, known as the Fight Back Ceremony, all relay members pledge to do their part to help rid the world of cancer.
If you would like to create a team, it's not too late. To sign up or for more information, visit http://relay.acsevents.org/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLFY11EA?fr_id=29236&pg=entry.
