POTSDAM -- Healthcare providers, lifeguards and professional rescuers can update their skills or get fresh certification during the American Red Cross of Northern New York’s CPR for the Professional Rescuer from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 at the Red Cross office, 73 Market St.
This course teaches those with a duty to act (professional rescuers, healthcare providers, lifeguards) the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim of cardiac arrest.
The fee is $65. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required by noon on Friday, Nov. 12. The instructor is Sheila Cerwonka.
