POTSDAM -- American Red Cross is offering a First Aid/CPR/AED for the Layperson course Saturday July 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Red Cross office, 73 Market St.
Participants will learn how to identify and respond to emergency situations by checking to see if it is safe to intervene. Skills necessary in an emergency to help sustain life and minimize consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives will be taught.
Cost is $70 and includes a manual. Instructor is Rachael Simons.
