NORWOOD -- A “Rainbow Rush” 5K Run/Walk Benefit will be held in the wooded trails behind Norwood-Norfolk High School on June 14.
Runners and walkers will leave with a colorful shirt and raise money for local food pantries and other organizations.
Racers are encouraged to wear a white shirt. Colored powder will be thrown on participants at several stations along the trail.
The event is sponsored by the Norwood-Norfolk Teachers’ Association. Money raised will benefit the Norwood, Norfolk, and Raymondville food pantries, St. Lawrence County Arts Council, and the local Cerebral Palsy Association.
The event starts at 9 a.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for students.
The first 100 participants to register will receive a free t-shirt. Participants can pre-register online at northernrunner.org or register at the event.
