MASSENA -- The New York Power Authority will continue free Friday movie matinees in November with showings of contemporary movies on Fridays at 1:30 p.m. at the Hawkins Point Visitors Center. The movies will be shown in the visitors center auditorium. Free popcorn will be provided.
The November film schedule is:
Nov. 2: “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel” (2011). British retirees travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than its advertisements, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways.
Nov. 9: “Crazy Stupid Love” (2011). A middle-aged husband's life changes dramatically when his wife asks him for a divorce. He seeks to rediscover his manhood with the help of a newfound friend, Jacob, learning to pick up girls at bars.
Nov. 16: “Tower Heist” (2011). When a group of hard-working guys find out they've fallen victim to a wealthy business man's Ponzi scheme, they conspire to rob his high-rise residence.
Nov. 30: “Snow White and the Huntsman,” (2012). In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.
