POTSDAM – A.A. Kingston Middle School will hold their winter concerts Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec. 14 and 15, in the Middle School cafeteria.
Grades 5 and 6 orchestra, chorus and band will perform Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m.
Music selections for the band will include Slidin’ the Blues, featuring the trombone section, Wade in the Water, On the Colorado Trail and Elves are Us. The chorus will sing He is Born, Beyond the Sea, Mele Kalinkamaka, Snow Day, and I want You Back/ABC. The orchestra will play Up on the Housetop, Alpha Beta Alpha Robert Frost and Celtic Dance.
Grades 7 and 8 orchestra, chorus and band will perform Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m.
Music selections for the orchestra include LaRejouissance by Handel, Variations on a Ground, Theme from Advent Rising by Tallarico, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. The chorus will sing Gloria Festiva, Michael Finnigin, Alleluia Noel, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, and Home Sweet Home (Motely Crew). The band will play Grant Us Thy Peace, Echoes of the Civil Ware by John O’Reilly, Celtic Air and Dance by Michael Sweeney and Rhapsody of the Sea by John Moss.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
