POTSDAM – Even if your math skills are rusty, you can celebrate “Pi Day” from 3:14 pm to 6:14 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, with soup, bread and pie at Potsdam United Methodist Church, 26 Main St.

Taking its cue from the mathematical constant pi (3.1415926), the church will serve a variety of soups and bread for $3.14 and a slice of pie for $3.14.

Diners may eat in the church’s downstairs dining room or take out.

The church is accessible with an elevator.

Parking is available behind the church and in nearby municipal lots.

For more information call the church office, 315-265-7474.

Pi Day is an unofficial holiday marking the importance of π, used by mathematicians and physicists.

It is celebrated on March 14 because 3, 1 and 4 are the most important digits in pi.
