POTSDAM -- Saturday, March 19, marks the eighth anniversary of the start of the “Shock and Awe” attacks on Iraq. North Country Veterans For Peace, Chapter 121 (NCVFP) sponsors a peace vigil that takes place at the Potsdam post office ay 11 a.m. every Saturday morning.
NCVFP took over sponsoring these vigils from Alternatives To War, a now inactive NC peace group. A few members of NCVFP will be traveling to gather with a larger vigil taking place March 19 at the White House.
If you are dissatisfied or troubled about our invasion and occupation of Iraq, you may join with NCVFP this Saturday at the post office in Potsdam and express your thoughts and concerns.
