POTSDAM -- The Potsdam High School Artistic Congress 2011 art auction will be held Tuesday, May 3 at 7 p.m. at the Creative Spirit Art Center, 6 Raymond St. to benefit the Katya Czerepak Greer Memorial Scholarship for SUNY Potsdam art education students.
Previewing starts at 6:15 p.m.
Tom De Rosa, owner of First Crush Bistro, will be auctioneer.
More than 50 works by former and current Potsdam High School art students and local artists will include small relief prints, silkscreen prints and engravings, large and small drawings, drawings on wood, small constructions and photographs.
Greer was a 2002 graduate of the SUNY Potsdam art history program and an art teacher at Potsdam High School who passed away in 2009.
