POTSDAM – Singers of all voice parts are welcome to attend Potsdam Community Chorus’s first rehearsal of the fall on Monday, Aug. 30, in Wakefield Recital Hall, upstairs in Bishop Hall, Crane School of Music, SUNY Potsdam.
Rehearsal will begin at 7 p.m. and continue till 9:30 p.m. Musical director and conductor is Dr. Jeff Francom of the Crane faculty.
Registration, payment of dues for community members, and the selling of music will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the conference room next to Wakefield. Dues for community members are $25. Students who register for college credit do not pay dues.
PCC draws its members from communities all over the North Country and from local colleges and universities. The chorus celebrates its 10th anniversary this fall.
The program for PCC’s Nov. 21 concert includes: "I Was Glad" and "O Love of God How Strong and True" by Charles Parry; "And I Saw a New Heaven" by Edgar Bainton; "Funeral Sentences," by Purcell; "Like as the Hart,” by Howells, and Leonard Bernstein’s "Chichester Psalms.”
