POTSDAM – The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for Northern Insuring Agency Inc. Monday, April 16 at 3 p.m.
Northern Insuring Agency opened its Potsdam office at 69 Market St. on Jan. 24.
NIA’s main office is in Plattsburgh, and according to Tanya Krise, NIA sales executive, the expansion to Potsdam creates more growth opportunities.
Krise noted that as the largest locally-owned, independent insurance agency covering the Northern New York region, NIA will work with many insurance companies to obtain the best insurance coverage for personal, business, life and employee benefits.
Northern Insuring Agency is celebrating its 88th year in business. To mark the special anniversary, the agency will donate $880 to an area non-profit organization nominated by any person, business or organization.
Nomination forms are available at the Potsdam office.
NIA will conduct the drawing to select the winner on April 16 in conjunction with the ribbon cutting.
