POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Brass Quintet will perform alongside special guest organist Ernest W. Hadley Jr. in an upcoming fall concert, to be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 in Hosmer Hall.
Hadley and the five members of the Crane School of Music performing group will perform a selection of works arranged for brass and organ, including compositions by Richard Strauss, Sigfrid Karg-Elert, Marc-Antoine Charpentier, Edward Elgar and Eugène Gigout. The Potsdam Brass Quintet will also present the four-movement 1971 work "Laudes" by Jan Bach.
The Potsdam Brass Quintet consists of John Ellis and James Madeja on trumpet; Kelly Drifmeyer on horn; Mark Hartman on trombone, and Charles Guy on tuba.
