CANTON -- The 4th annual Pars for Paws Golf Tournament to benefit the Potsdam Humane Society is scheduled for July 25, at the Partridge Run Golf and Country Club.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1 p.m., and includes a day of golf, food, a raffle and an opportunity to win prizes, including Hole-In-One, Longest Drive, Closest to Pin and more.

The cost is $60 per person.

Monies raised from the tournament will support the humane society, a nonprofit organization serving 11 towns within St. Lawrence County.

“The Potsdam Humane Society provides services to some 1,200 animals each year,” said Suzanne Smith, Potsdam Humane Society board member and tournament chair.

Last year’s tournament raised more than $7,500

“Money from the tournament directly supports the animals in our care. Additionally, PHS offers educational programs for the community and local schools, a Pets for Veterans program, a successful low-cost spay and neuter program and more. All of this benefits our community,” Smith said.

The tournament is currently seeking sponsors and offers four levels of support:

Hole-in-One ($1,000) includes a featured listing in the program, two hole sponsorships, photo submission to local media, as well as year-round recognition at PHS shelter building and at Best Friends Thrift store in downtown Potsdam.

Gold ($500) includes a featured listing in the program, a hole sponsorship and photo submission to local media to as well as recognition at PHS, its website and Best Friends Thrift Store.

Silver ($200) includes listing in program and on a poster displayed on specific holes, PHS, its website and all acknowledgements as appropriate.

Bronze ($100) listing in program, PHS, its web site and all acknowledgements as appropriate
