CANTON — St. Lawrence University will host Dr. John Trentini ’03, medical director for the U.S. Air Force’s Pararescue Unit in Las Vegas, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, in Bloomer Auditorium located in Brown Hall.
The event is free and open to the public. Trentini graduated as a neuroscience major from St. Lawrence in 2003 and earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Uniform Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
He completed his specialty training in Emergency Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. During that time, he was a tactical emergency physician for the local SWAT teams and supported high risk warrant service with the Dayton Narcotics bureau.
In his current position of medical director, he provides oversight of medical protocols and ensures combat readiness of special operation medics.
Trentini will deliver a talk, titled “On the X: Life as a Pararescue Medical Director.”
