POTSDAM – The Orchestra of Northern New York will present “Sounds of the Cinema” 7 p.m. Saturday, March 19 in Hosmer Concert Hall at SUNY Potsdam.
The orchestra will perform soundtracks from such films as “Exodus,” “Jaws,” “Jurassic Park,” “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Dark Knight.”
Kenneth Andrews conducts. The start time is earlier than normal for the family concert.
Now in its 23rd season, the orchestra's mission is to help improve the quality of life in the North Country through live performances of orchestral music performed by superb musicians in professional settings.
It is the only professional symphony orchestra from Rochester to Burlington and Syracuse to Ottawa.
Tickets are $10 students age 13 and older, $16 for senior citizens, $18 for adults and free for age 12 and under.
