Operation Christmas Child will be collecting shoe boxes filled with gifts, including toys, school supplies and hygiene items during National Collection Week, Nov. 12 to Nov. 19. Anyone can drop off a packed shoe box at one of the collection locations. The shoe box gifts will be hand-delivered to needy children in 100 countries around the world.
The Winthrop collection location is the Victory Baptist Church, 601 State Highway 11C. The Winthrop location will be open Nov. 12, 13, 14, and 15, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Nov. 16, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; Nov. 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Nov. 18, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and Nov. 19, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The Massena collection location is the New Testament Church, 265 Andrews Street.
The Massena location will be open Nov. 12 and 13, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Nov. 14, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Nov. 15 and 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Nov. 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Nov. 18, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
