OGDENSBURG – The 51st annual Seaway Festival, billed as the biggest family reunion in St. Lawrence County, returns July 23 through 31, featuring lots of music, fireworks, a parade, and a new Family Feud game and new Sandbar Classic Fishing Derby.

Nik and the Nice Guys will be the highlight show Friday night, just before the fireworks.

Ontario Amusement midway rides will operate from noon – 11 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 through Saturday, July 30 in the Greenbelt area.

There will also be plenty of Founder's Days events at Fort La Presentation, Lighthouse Point, beginning Friday, July 22 through July 25, including reenactors' land & sea battles, bateau races, kids games & toys, children’s muster and night battle.

The schedule of events follows:

• Saturday, July 23 – Remington Canoe Race, starting at Heuvelton boat launch, 9 a.m.; kid’s fishing derby, 9:30 – 11 a.m., Greenbelt docks, free; horseshoe pitching contest, Dobisky Visitor’s Center, 10 a.m.; arts and craft show, Lockwood Arena, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., entry fee; Fort LaPresentation Founder’s Days, Lighthouse Point, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., entry fee; firefighter’s kid’s fun games, Morrissette park, 1 – 4 p.m., free; Taste of the North Country, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Dobisky Center; concert in the park with the Smugglers, 7 – 9 p.m.

• Sunday, July 24 – Sandbar fishing derby, Dobisky Center, 9 a.m.; Fort La Presentation Founder’s Days, Lighthouse Point, 7:30 a.m., entry fee; youth fun run, 8:30 a.m., Dobisky center; four-mile run-walk, 9 a.m., Dobisky center; Oswegatchie Golf Challenge and Sandbunker Golf Challenge, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Trafalgar Park; Zonta Antique and Artisans Show, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Ogdensburg Free Academy Golden Dome; arts and craft show, Lockwood Center, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; presentation by Julie’s Dance Studio, 1 – 3 p.m., and Ogdensburg Dance Studio, 3 – 5 p.m., Morrissette Park; Michael Cutwa fun, fly and model airplane show, 1 p.m., Strader Field; high school band competition, OFA football field, 7 p.m., $3.

• Monday, July 25 -- performance by the Seaway Valley Community Band, 6 p.m., and the Acoustic Brothers, 8 p.m., Library Park.

• Tuesday, July 26 – karaoke contest with Mr. E, OFA auditorium, 6 – 10 p.m., $3; performance by The Kitchen Party Band, 6 – 9 p.m., Library Park.

• Wednesday, July 27 –tricycle races, 4 p.m., Greenbelt area; Seaway Cruisers Cruise-In, 6 – 9 p.m., Greenbelt Area; concert by Jay and the two Tones, Library Park, 6:30 – 9 p.m.

• Thursday, July 28 – Frederic Remington days, Remington Art Museum, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; a new Family Feud contest, 7 p.m., OFA auditorium, $3; great toilet paper toss, Library park, 6 p.m., free; performance by NoizAfter9, 6:30 – 9 .m., Library Park.

• Friday, July 29 – Frederick Remington Museum Day, Remington Museum, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; guitar hero competition, 4 p.m., Greenbelt area; karaoke finals, 6:30 p.m., gazebo; performance of 1980s music by Nik and the Nice Guys, 8 – 9:45 p.m., main stage; fireworks, 10 p.m., Greenbelt area.

• Saturday, July 30 – annual Seaway Festival parade, 11 a.m., down Ford Street, with parade awards in Library Park; Maple City Mile, 9:30 a.m., starts at Roethel’s.

• Sunday, July 31 – third annual duck race, city docks, 1 p.m., $5 to sponsor a duck; antique and classic car show and flea market, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority grounds; Michael Cutwa fun, fly and model airplane show, 1 p.m., Propbusters Air Field.
