OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg’s Pro Musica will presenting their 51st Christmas concert on Wednesday, Dec. 5.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church at the corner of Ford and Franklin Streets in Ogdensburg.
The community choir has been in existence for over 50 years, and this year’s performance will once again feature a variety of holiday tunes, both traditional carols and modern songs.
Composed of over fifty members ranging in range from teens to senior citizens in their eighties, Pro Musica is directed by Andrew Arcello and accompanied by Christine Bookman.
Elementary students from Ogdensburg schools will also be performing several songs with the chorus. The eclectic song list will appeal to the young and old alike.
Donations are accepted at the door; $5 is suggested, but any free will offering would be welcome.
The proceeds are used to purchase new music and to donate scholarships to neighboring schools to students interested in pursuing their musical dreams after graduation.
