OGDENSBURG -- The Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club will hold its annual pancake day at the Salvation Army, 401 Franklin St., on April 7, from 8-11 a.m.
The event will raise money for the Kiwanis youth service and sports programs, according to Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club President Tim Davis.
“Ogdensburg’s Kiwanis Pancake Day is one of the Maple City’s surest signs that spring is coming back to the North Country,” said Davis. “Our Pancake Day which features real St. Lawrence County produced maple syrup will also provide an opportunity for parents to sign their children up for our extensive Kiwanis baseball and softball programs.”
Tickets are $7. Children younger than five eat for free.
The Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club youth sports program serves over 500 children. The spring youth little league program includes T-Ball, Adult Pitch, Jr. Grasshopper, Grasshopper, Intro to Girls Softball and Girls Softball leagues.
“The Ogdensburg Kiwanis Club has a proud history of introducing our community’s young people to America’s favorite pastime,” said Davis. “Our annual Pancake Day helps us raise funds for the program and to maintain our extensive athletic complex at Montroy Park.”
The Salvation Army is located at the corner of Green and Franklin Street.
